Designing And Placing Your Veneers

When you visit Dr. Hopkins for veneers, she will lead the procedure by taking a series of digital images of your teeth to create a sample design of your new smile. When you are satisfied with the shape, size, and color of your veneers, our team will send the design to our ceramist to create your custom shells.

We then remove a small portion of the enamel from the front of your smile to create room for your veneers and place temporary veneers in the interim. During your second appointment, we will deliver your restorations and verify their shape and fit if necessary. We will finalize any color or sizing corrections before bonding each veneer to the front of your smile.

Is it painful to get veneers?

The treatment itself is not generally painful. Dr. Hopkins will numb your teeth before preparing them for the veneers – this is the only part of your procedure that could cause discomfort. Some of our patients do experience mild sensitivity after their veneers have been placed, but it should subside within a few days.

What is the recovery time for veneers?

There is typically no recovery time after getting veneers. This means you can be ready to go with your new smile as soon as you leave our office!
